Position Overview: Experienced Welder

Veransa, a leader in eco-friendly soil and organic compost solutions, is seeking an experienced, skilled, and dedicated Welder to join our dynamic team.

This role is critical in ensuring the proper maintenance of our heavy equipment and tub grinders for use in wood waste and yard waste processing and recycling.

Primary Responsibilities

• Welding of Heavy Equipment, both inside our Whitfield Shop and out in the Field.  
• Basic Deisel Mechanically Skills to perform basic preventative maintenance repairs, such as tire changes and rotations, oil changes, and test and replace worm or broken parts.
• Perform repairs safely, thoroughly, and accurately.

Requirements

• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Good Welding Skills with ability to: read AWS welding symbols; read and interpret project plans, blueprints and other written instructions and diagrams to perform task at hand; perform MIG, TIG and other types of welds based on project needs; and de-bur and grind metal as necessary to achieve proper surface texture.
• Must have the ability to weld in and out of position.
• The welders while performing their jobs are regularly required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and perform strenuous physical labor under potentially adverse field conditions.
• Often required to sit, stand, walk, bend knees, stretch arms, talk, and hear.
