Rosebud Continuum began partnering with Veransa after an advisor to the board toured the Seffner site, led by Director of Operations Alex Marks. They then encouraged Rosebud Continuum to tour the site, and the partnership was born. Rosebud Continuum is a sustainability center whose aim is to educate the community about sustainable solutions. They tell members about how Veransa uses green waste to recycle and transform it into compost that then gives back to the community. Now, they buy 18 yards of Veransa Premium Compost at a time and resell it to community members, as well as use it themselves in their garden. They use Veransa quarter and half inch, as well as Veransa’s Pine fines in their potting mixes. Since using Veransa Compost, Valerie Van Stronder has noticed “really good seed germination and root aeration” as well as “no problems with diseases or nematodes”. Upon being asked if she would continue to use/ use Veransa’s products again, she said, “Oh yeah, of course” She also remarked that the sales team and other personnel at Veransa were “awesome”.

Mark Sanders, the general manger at East Lake Recreation, was referred to Veransa by a colleague of his, Mike Williams from Athletic Services. Mike had been using Veransa Premium Compost for Pinellas County Schools and told Mark that it was a great a less expensive alternative to the brand they had been using for years. Now, East Lake Recreation uses Veransa Premium Turf to top their athletic fields twice a year in lieu of using other fertilizers. He was motivated to try it after speaking to Andrew Podoloff, Veransa’s Senior Director of Sales, and learning about Veransa’s mission and their composting process. Mark commented that “the results have been great. We were able to save money and see the greening we expected much faster at a much lower cost than we paid for your competitors. We will use Veransa Turf to top dress all our fields again in the late summer or early fall. We are very pleased with the results”.

Richard Davis of Ye Ol’ Davis farms found Veransa from a Google search in late 2022 or early 2023 while he was searching for organic compost in Florida. Ye Ol’ David Farms is a USDA certified organic farm, so they needed compost that was organic. They now use Veransa’s OMRI certified Premium Ag, which allows them to grow their crops and stay within USDA’s policies for the organic certification. They till it into the sandy soil to amend it by adding organic matter and nutrients into the soil that was already there. Richard says that “we have been able to amend our soil without the use of synthetic fertilizers and successfully grow our various crops. We are glad to have an organic solution for compost in Florida that is actually compost.”

The President of World Sports USA, Luis Lauretti became acquainted with Veransa through Veransa’s Senior Director of Sales Andrew Podoloff. They both had booths at the Central Florida Sports Turf Management Field Day Event, where Andrew explained what it is that Veransa does. World Sports USA provides construction, renovation, and management for turf and athletic fields, so they have need of compost as a top dressing all year round. Veransa was able to offer them Veransa Premium Turf at a much better cost than other compost vendors. Now, they use Veransa Premium Turf to top dress soccer fields. Ben was looking for better soil quality for his farms, which led him to begin using Veransa Premium Ag in both their more mature bamboo plants and the new ones. Since using it, his bamboo have been able to better establish themselves, he’s noticed better soil quality, and overall plant health has been better. Ben uses Veransa Premium Ag as a soil amendment, he lays it down as a base layer and the plants “have shown better results”. Great compost! I met Stephanie as a vendor at a Florida Citrus Show and learned about their products. Citrus growers were in need of putting nutrients back in their soils.That’s what their compost is for. The product is tested by labs and info provided.
